Very simple yummy fried chicken place. Small menu, not much to choose from but the chicken is delicious and full of flavor!

Delicious food at AWESOME prices!! Their chicken has great flavors and so do all their sauces and sides! We really enjoy eating here and we REALLY enjoy how reasonable it is! It's not a huge menu, in terms of variety, but the options they have are all very well made. Also they have great family sized dishes!! Definitely keep going back!

I was pleasantly suprised. Grilled chicken was yunmy, beans were awesome w cilantro, rice was great and the coleslaw was my favorite, it had green pepper in it. This will be my go to when I don't feel like cooking during the week bc it's fast and yummy.

Judging by the cheesy cartoon chicken on their sign, I wouldn't have guessed that there would be anything suitable for a mature palate on their menu, but I was wrong; their Latin grilled chicken is seriously tasty. The flavor is great, and I appreciate that they use hormone-free meat that's never frozen, unlike other fast food joints. They're not completely different from their competitors in the sodium department though. The seasoning on the grilled chicken is super salty and I'm sure the marinade is too. There are 1,025 milligrams of sodium in the grilled breast and wing to be exact (according to the nutrition facts on their website). Once you get past the heavily seasoned skin though, it's smooth sailing to juicy chicken town. I tried the Camperitos as well, which are battered and fried nuggets cut from actual chicken breasts rather than processed mystery meat (thank you). They have a great crunch to them and good flavor, but again, VERY salty. Both the creamy cilantro lime and sweet chipotle dipping sauces are satisfying and help to cut the saltiness a little. Although I appreciate the unique addition of green bell peppers to the cole slaw, I'm not impressed with the overall flavor; the dressing is creamy and the cabbage is bitter. Nothing more, nothing less. It does seem fresh, so that's always a plus. My side of black beans was tasty enough to eat, but nothing extraordinary. Also... salty. For the price, quality of the meat, and the convenience (it's a 3-minute drive from my house), I'd say there are worse places to go when you're feeling lazy. It's also worth mentioning that the woman who took our order (my boyfriend and I) was helpful and courteous. When I asked her which was better, the tortillas or the dinner rolls that came with my meal, she retrieved one of each to show me. Unfortunately, the white corn tortillas I chose were just some generic kind that you could probably find at any grocery store. It didn't add anything to the meal, so I didn't eat it. No use in eating more carbs than usual if they don't at least taste fantastic! The rolls looked about the same--bland and generic. On another lazy Saturday or Sunday when I don't feel like cooking (or wearing real, non-PJ pants) I'd go back through the drive through and order the same meal again--minus the lackluster slaw and tortillas, plus a different side.

I should have left this review the first time I ate here, but with my son keeping me busy all the time, I'm finally doing it now. I am a big fan of this place, and having been a pollo tropical girl since I can remember, I can now say I've found one I like more. Nothing against pollo tropical, they can still make good food, but they don't compare to this limited chain. I cannot believe there aren't more of these! Their campero rice is flavorful, heck! Even my husband likes it! And he's not a rice person! I recently had their Peruvian citrus chicken, and I was blown away!! Pieced together with black beans and rice, mmmm... i also had their horchata drink and was not disappointed. Will go back again and again and again... thankfully I live pretty close!

Drive through speaker was broken, stay in my car behind a car at ordering window FOREVER. Decided to go to pollo tropical down the road

Didnt even get to try it because the Drive thru service was so bad. They were out of everything I had ordered and then the girl on the other end had no clue. She kept repeating my order and must have said "Yes" 5 times. I sat behind 1 car for an eternity and decided to just drive to Pollo Tropical down the road. What starts bad - ends bad. I wasn't gonna risk tasting the food.

There fried chicken is so good. The place has a huge parking lot next to it. We have ate there more than once. The food is always real good. So if your looking for cheap , good food fast , try this place out

Drove by this place a few times and decided to stop by for a quick bite and what a pleasant surprise. When we told the manager we were here for the first time he recommended the chicken dinner for the 3 of us and we probably had THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN I have eaten in a long time...sure beats any of the other joints in town. The manager even walked over to our table and gave us 3 complimentary Chicken Empinadas and they were fresh and very tasty. The place was clean and airy and very reasonable, in fact when you enter there is a family dinner that could easily feed 6 for $ 21 approx. Our meal for 3 with Sodas came to about 20 bucks! Definitely will be back ....looking for them to open up closer to home!

I first ate at Pollo Campero while traveling in Guatemala. Turns out this is the same restaurant. It's an Americanized fast-food version though. The food is good, the restaurant is clean and open. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It's fast food, so for that, it was pretty good. I would eat there again.

Pollo Campero us the real deal, if the Colonel had this chicken recipe, he would be a GENERAL. Good is great, the fried chicken is to die for, the black beans and rice are terrific and the empanadas ROCK. Don't let the fast food image change your mind, this is great food AT GREAT PRICES. We are there twice per week.

I'm not sure if it's the seasoning that I'm not used too but the fried chicken yuck!! And the fried yuca had no flavor of yuca!!! I'm Latina & from NY I know that taste good!! But ppl are friendly & service is good.

Pollo Tropical isn't the only place you can get Latin food and have the drive thru option. Several people have raved about this place and I don't see what is so great about it. The chicken empanada combo was good, but the spice could of been tone down a bit. The cashier told me that it wasn't all that spicy too. Um, I had to load up on some tomatillo sauce to calm the heatness down. The black beans and rice were great. At least half of the meal was a decent one.

I'm addicted to their spicy chicken empanadas!!! They are so delicious! Their chicken bowl with yellow rice and beans is also great! They have other yummy dishes but those are my faves! Affordable and tasty - can't beat that! ;)

Tried the spicy chicken empenada with yucca fries and they were pretty good. Never had the yucca fries before anywhere else but was pleased with them. Drive thru option.

A combination of Pollo Tropical meets Los Pollos Hermanos. The only thing its missing is Gus from Breaking Bad. The menu isn't that big but they do have some decent chicken options. Fried chicken seems to be their specialty, so if anything this maybe more Pollo Tropical meets KFC. The grilled chicken options are a little bland. Not exactly the most healthiest place to eat, but you probably knew that walking into to the joint. The service is usually really good, but overall, it's just a bland fast-food place that specializes in fried chicken wraps, salads or chops. Not the worst option if you're in the mood, but certainly not the best.

It's more of a cross between a better KFC and a Pollo Loco with a dash of Pollo Tropical thrown in for good measure. The place is always clean. The food is, for fast food, prepared about as well as you could ask. They have some nice different items like baked chicken, sauteed squash, beans, and baked yucca along with the usual bad-for-yous. The staff is really nice and seems to actually like working there, which is a big step up from most Colonel's chicken crematoriums. Tried the new empanadas. The savory one was good. Pass on the sweet one. Not as good as La Granja nearby but certainly pretty respectable.

I had to try this because I was in the neighborhood and someone told me the grilled chicken was a ripoff of Pollo Tropical, so of course I had to try it. Imitation may be in some minds the best form of flattery, but in this case it should be criminal. I love my Pollo Tropical, it's way way better than the dry & parched pollo of the Campero kind. The bread was stale as well. Pollo Tropical is still numero uno with me!

Pollo Campero has some of the best fried chicken that I've ever tasted. And it's truly the juiciest fried chicken I've ever had the pleasure to eat! The place is a Pollo Tropical-type Latin fast food place, but with a touch more class. If you're dining in, all the food is served on actual plates, bowls, etc, and you can eat with real utensils if you so choose. The sides are amazing - campero beans are kidney-type beans, marinated with some sausage and spices. Whatever's in it absolutely delicious. The campero rice on the other hand, lacked enough spice and was pretty bland. The tostones were crispy and perfectly fried. And dipped in the campero beans - were out-of-this world. There are other sides, including black beans & white rice, yuca fries, and caesar salad. But the chicken really stands out. The skin was super-crispy and the meat underneath was the juiciest fried chicken I'd ever seen or tasted. Pollo Campero needs to make its way down to Miami, for sure. But till then, whenever I venture up to Palm Beach County, I will definitely stop in.

The Good: Fried Chicken is much tastier than KFC. Campero beans also are a superior side item. Large salsa bar. The Bad: Menu is carb heavy. Grilled chick not as spectacular. Menu and portions are somewhat confusing at first. My most recent visit to Pollo Campero was to try the Fried Chicken. I had eaten here a few times before but I made the mistake of ordering a sandwich, and the grilled chick on my two previous visits. The grilled chicken was not bad, nor was the grilled chicken sandwich, but I could not find a very distinctive reason to come back. What I did remember was the delicious Campero Beans, a succulent combo of kidney beans, pork sausage and god knows what else. WOW. This time I ordered a 2-piece fried chicken meal. My sides were black beans & rice, Campero beans, and a dinner roll. Talk about carb heavy. I could have swapped the roll for a tortilla but honestly who eats this much bread along with fried chicken and beans? (I did for review purposes). The star of the show today was the fried chicken. The fried chicken was unlike anything else I had every had. The coating was just, well you have to try it. Not too oily like KFC, Just a perfect crisp on a light batter. The meat itself was quite tender and juicy even for white meat. I found myself picking at the bones and rib side of the breast just to try and squeeze out another morsel of the delicious skin coating. My advice is to stick with the fried chicken, and please do try the Campero beans. The salsa bar also has a nice selection, onions, cilantro, tomatilla, chipotle salsa and jalapenos.
